And Now Time for a Thought from Josh Burke:
First I would like to address the comments about the band name. I have been trying to post the comments but for whatever reason I can't see them. John Gauger and Jason Pelt both had the same Google search posted with the answer as to what McCaig's Folly is, but neither of them took a stab as to why I would name a band that. Soooo half way there gents, put your thinking caps on and keep guessing. Now onto the social experiment. The stipulation was as follows, I would blog every day for a month if and only if Jason and Bobby-O commented daily on the blog. Bobby-O has posted comments for every blog but two of those blogs were posted today. So there was a day missed. I think that this gets me off the hook for having to buy five people Starbucks. However, if I continue to blog Jason Pelt still owes me a drink of my choice, not to mention the social experiment must go on.

lame.
what a technical loop hole... do you work for the government or something? ;)
i think that my difficulties should be noted.
i have been getting an error message everytime i post anything, wether it be a blog, comment, or layout change.. anything.
for a while i couldnt do anything.
i tried to make up for it. you just want to weasel out of it. but your paragraphs arent even proper blog length..
Sounds like a bit of legalism to me, but if those are the rules you are willing to live with then so me it. It is kind of telling it only took you 3 days to find a loophole.
This is not a loophole. It was clearly stated that i was to receive a comment daily. I put this in to as a contingency of the social experiment. I am going to continue to blog once a day for the month of July. I just wanted to point out that it seemed to me the rules weren't being followed. Since Bobby states that he was having trouble posting I believe. So that this confusion doesn't happen again I would like anyone having trouble commenting to my blog give me a call so that the matter can be resolved:-) No latter than 9:30 pm thanks.
And yes i do work for the Government. Kind of
Jason Pelt. I have a question for you:
Lets say you were given a coupon for 50% off any item in Best Buy and you decided to get the largest Flat Screen Plasma saving you $3000. I would say you are a fortunate man. What would you say if you got the rester and to your surprise the cashier said " Technically you can use this coupon, but Sounds like a bit of legalism to me, but if those are the rules you are willing to live with then so me it". I would venture to say your response would sound something like" Yes I am willing to live with it." And rightly so.
haha, this is silly! but im glad that josh has the blogging bug now too! we knew it would happen sometime!
Do our comments have to be posted within a certain time of your posting? Couldn't Bobby-O go comment on the day he missed at any time after your posting and he would have fulfilled his commitment. You are the blog-a-day and we comment but not necessarily comment on the same day? Your coupon example is well founded, where can I get a 50% off coupon to Best Buy?
Okay I have been giving McCraig’s Folly some thought and I have come up with a few possible meanings behind the name of your band. According to Wikipedia (the end all to web knowledge) McCraig’s Folly is actually named McCraig’s Tower. The term folly (again wikipedia) is a building constructed strictly as a decoration, having none of the usual purposes of housing or sheltering associated with a conventional structure. But from my reading of John Stuart McCraig, he wanted to erect a monument to himself and his family but died in 1902 before the structure was completed. (that monument would have purpose) He further had a complicated will which directed the completion of the monument at his death, but all of his heirs fought the execution of the will and it was overturned after many years of legal battles. But folly has another meaning, according Webster Online, folly: to lack of good sense or normal prudence and foresight. Is the name of your band a reminder that man’s glorification of himself, in the end, will always fall short and “lack good sense?” That is the best I can come up with. It might also be that you have once visited the folly or you may be a distant McCraig relative. Check out a great panoramic view of the folly at http://robinwilson.net/mccaigstower/mccaigstower.html
The band name: Is it something you will probably put a ton of time into, but not see it come to completion (ie be invited onto VH1 storytellers obviously).
