A few weeks back I was reading some of Jason Pelt's old posts and came across the one regarding "pop in's". I was oh to curious to pass that one up and came to find out that Clint Clifton had in turn challenged the Pelt's to a Pop In dual. I thought this whole idea was hilarious, due to the fact that I could see myself being annoyed by "pop in's". However, a few months back Josh and I had a pop in from one Annie Garman. It of course was a joy and since that time I had wondered when we might have another. Contrary to popular belief this particular pop in did not cause total distress to my "schedule" and I actually appreciated the change that it produced in my day. This past Thursday Josh and I had the excitement of our second pop in from the Slacks! It actually would not have been a pop in, if Josh would ever check his messages on his phone. However in this instance I was glad he failed to check, because it was exciting to see Amber and Gerry show up at our front door. A good time of chatting was had, however I did not follow the "pop in" etiquette because I did not offer them food or drinks. I know, I know that is awful!!!
We would like this blog to encapsulate exactly what the title refers to. The "memoirs", the memories, the observations and the life experiences that occur at Burke Manor. Why Burke Manor, you ask? Anytime someone new would come to visit our home Josh would always say, "welcome to Burke Manor". It just sort of stuck so now we have, "The Memoirs of Burke Manor".

Our very own Pop In!
