Josh and I have been out of the scene for about two weeks. It seems like we haven't seen some people in years, though it has only been a few weeks. Our mishaps with our vacation being cancelled caused some scheduling issues and therefore we have not been at church for two weeks. It feels like longer, but its not been. Nothing major has happened except for us going on vacation to TN not FL. The hurricanes screwed that one up so officially no beach trip for Jadey this year. That is like a sin!! However, TN was fun we were roughly about an hour and forty five minutes away from Gatlinburg in a town called Crossville. It was very quite and peaceful. Josh and I did a lot of swimming, playing tennis, playing Wii, reading and we visited a few wineries. All of these things were fun, but it was nice to get home and sleep in my own bed and see family and friends. I am hoping the fall schedule slows down and is not so hectic. However, it is not prooving to go that way just yet. We will see I guess.
We would like this blog to encapsulate exactly what the title refers to. The "memoirs", the memories, the observations and the life experiences that occur at Burke Manor. Why Burke Manor, you ask? Anytime someone new would come to visit our home Josh would always say, "welcome to Burke Manor". It just sort of stuck so now we have, "The Memoirs of Burke Manor".
