It finally arrived, in a flash of light just like I knew it would Ainsley's first birthday. The past year has been pure joy. I never imagined being a parent would be so enjoyable. The joy it brings to be able to see Ainsley grow and learn new things is priceless. So to celebrate Ainsley we threw her a Woodland Fairy Birthday Party! It was such a fun time, lots of work but so fun.
As the fairies and gnomes entered the party they could take a wand or a pinwheel, the goodies ranged from finger sandwiches, chocolate covered pretzel wands to edible acorns. We played pin the star on the wand, had a wishing stone hunt and finished it off with a classic pinata. Ainsley was blessed abundantly with fun toys and lots of cute winter clothes, however she enjoyed playing with the tissue paper rather than open gifts!
Everyone enjoyed "looking" at Ainsley's birthday cake, however due to the abundance of cupcakes Artemus the owl went untouched. Ainsley was not so much a fan of her 1st cupcake she sampled the frosting and that was pretty much it. We were so blessed by everyone that attended and ultimately I think we are all blessed to have Ainsley Claire in our lives.
